You may send email messages directly to a BSCW folder if the folder permits this. Such email messages may contain arbitrary attachments and are stored in BSCW as email message objects according to the Internet standard RFC 822.
By adding the email address of a BSCW folder to a project distribution list, you may, e.g., create a complete email archive of the project. Project members need no longer store all important email messages within their own email systems.
Sending documents to a folder as attachments of an email message is a convenient alternative to uploading these documents using the Web-based interface.
