Gemeinsam mit der Bonner Internetagentur avaris | godot hat die OrbiTeam Software GmbH & Co. KG eine integrierte Software-Lösung entwickelt, die das Content-Management einer Webseite mit der von OrbiTeam entwickelten Groupware-Lösung BSCW verbindet. Über BSCW werden ausgewählte Informationen, Dokumente, Grafiken und Termine und mehr im Team eingestellt und gemeinsam bearbeitet; jederzeit können alle Informationen mit nur einem Klick gleich auf der Webseite des Unternehmens veröffentlicht werden, ohne ins Content Management System zu wechseln und ohne sich erneut anmelden zu müssen (Single-Sign On). Ein lästiger Abgleich zweier Systeme entfällt damit und die Webseite bleibt stets aktuell.
Diese Softwarelösung basiert auf dem Content Management System „Administrator“ (http://www.cms-administrator.de), das von OrbiTeam bereits für die Pflege der eigenen Web-Präsenz genutzt wird. Die Integration des CMS Administrator kann auch nachträglich bei allen Kunden durchgeführt werden, die die BSCW-Software bereits nutzen.
Durch die Integration der beiden Softwareprodukte ist es an der Nutzeroberfläche der BSCW-Groupware möglich, ausgewählte Inhalte ins Unternehmensnetzwerk zu verbreiten und gleichzeitig bei Bedarf auch gleich online zu publizieren, ohne dass ein zusätzlicher Arbeitsgang erforderlich ist. OrbiTeam Software GmbH & Co. KG, together with the avaris | godot web agency based in Bonn, Germany, developed an integrated solution that incorporates a web page content management system in the BSCW groupware platform. Team collaboration takes place via BSCW as usual. With the enhancement, selected information such as documents and meetings can now be published with a single click on the company's web site at any time without the need to switch to the content management system or signing on again (single sign-on). The tedious task of synchronising two systems is thus eliminated and the web site always remains up-to-date.
This software solution is based on the Administrator content management system, which OrbiTeam already utilises to maintain its own own web presence. Customers who already use BSCW can integrate the Administrator CMS into their existing platform. The integration of the two software products makes it possible to propogate selected content across the enterprise network and if required, to publish the information online at the same time without the need for an additional step. This approach allows companies to optimise the maintenance of their Internet presence.
The tight integration of the Administrator CMS and the BSCW groupware solution lets users manage the web site content at different levels. Content managers can set up navigation structures and enter detailed content into the CMS. Selected areas of the web site are opened up for publishing content from the groupware system. Authorised corporate users can now take content from the BSCW groupware and publish it on the web site. The previously designed layouts are maintained in the process. That prevents the user from having to deal with the technical details of the content management process. Users with access to the CMS can switch from the BSCW system directly to the user interface of the Administrator CMS with a single click. This provides a maximum of convenience and streamlines the publishing process. 
A key reference customer for the new integrated business software solution is the Ebeltoft International Retail Experts Business Alliance, a globally-active network of retail consulting experts. The management team has been an active user of the BSCW groupware for many years.
