System requirements for Windows version

To install the system on your Windows platform (Windows 7/2008/Vista/2003/XP) you need a Python interpreter (version 2.5, 2.6 or 2.7). You will also need the Win32 extension for Python. All Python software is copyrighted, but distributed under an open source licence making it free to use. Python can be downloaded from the Python web site; the required Win32 extension for Python can be downloaded from the PyWin32 Web-site. Note that build#210 or later of Python for Windows extensions is required!

You will also need the Apache HTTP server version 2.2 or the Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS6, IIS7). The Apache HTTP server is copyrighted, but distributed under an open source licence making it free to use. It can be downloaded from the Apache HTTP Server Project web site.

Download the BSCW server distribution – version 4.5.9 – as a self-extracting archive:

• bscw459.exe (executable file, ca. 35 MB, version 4.5.9)

Upgrade-Note: when upgrading from a previous BSCW-version, please make sure that you've got the  Python for Windows extensions installed in a build#210 or later. Otherwise first update your Python for Windows extensions accordingly.
